District Development Commissioner inaugurates second DM Rolling Trophy

RAJOURI, July 22: The District Youth Services and Sports department today organised the second DM Rolling Trophy here at Indoor Sports Stadium Kheora
The event featured competitions in Badminton, Table Tennis (Singles and Doubles), and Chess (Men and Women).
The tournament was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, alongside the District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO), Sunil Singh Sambyal, Manager of Sports Stadium Mohammad Bashir, and ZPEOs.
In his address to the participants, the DDC appreciated the efforts of the department of YSS for continuing with the DM Rolling Trophy and conducting it in a smooth and fair manner. He also emphasized the importance of sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle. He encouraged the players to regularly participate in sports to channelize their energy in the right direction.
The tournament witnessed the participation of players from different Tehsils and zones of the district. The officials of the department of YSS, including PEL, PEM, PET, and REK, were also present at the inaugural ceremony.
The DM Rolling Trophy is an initiative of the District Administration to promote sports and nurture the talent of young players in Rajouri.
The tournament provides a platform to players to showcase their skills, gain exposure, and compete at the highest level. It is also a great opportunity for the players to learn from one another, exchange ideas and develop their skills through healthy competition. The first Edition of the DMs Rolling Trophy was held last year.
The second edition of the DM Rolling Trophy is a great opportunity for young players to showcase their talent and participate in healthy competition. The district administration's commitment to promote sports is a step towards creating a healthier, more active and prosperous community.
