Two theft cases solved in Kandi, stolen property worth lakhs recovered

Rajouri, July 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Police at Kandi police station in Rajouri have successfully solved two cases of theft, leading to the recovery of stolen property worth over one lakh rupees and the arrest of two suspects involved in the crimes.
The recovered stolen items include garments, clothing, cosmetics, and cash.
According to an official statement, the incidents of theft were reported on the intervening night of July 4th and 5th at Shiv Mandir Kotranka and a shop belonging to Mohd Shafiq at Kallar Gala. The police promptly registered two separate cases under FIR No 71/2023 U/Ss 457/380 IPC and FIR No 72/2023 U/Ss 457/380 IPC and initiated an investigation team led by PSI Rohit Sharma, under the supervision of SHO Kandi Shakil Manhas.
During the investigation, the team thoroughly analyzed the CCTV footage of the area and detained three suspects under suspicion: Khushfat Hussain, son of Hassan Din, a resident of Naika Manjakote; Khadam Hussain, son of Mohd Rashid, a resident of Kotedhara; and Kabir Hussain, son of Noor Hussain, a resident of Mankote Thandikassi.
Upon sustained questioning, the arrested suspects confessed to their involvement in the thefts. Subsequently, the police acted on their disclosures and recovered clothes, garments, and various other items worth rupees 1,10,000, along with a sum of 4800 rupees in cash. Additionally, the vehicle (registration number JK11G 1834) used in the commission of the crimes was also seized by the authorities.
This swift and effective action by the Jammu and Kashmir Police has resulted in the successful resolution of the theft cases and the recovery of valuable stolen property.
