DC discusses Bhaderwah tourism promotion plan with private stakeholders

DODA, July 24: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, today convened a meeting with private stakeholders to seek their suggestions to formulate a comprehensive plan for the promotion of tourism in Bhaderwah.
The meeting aimed to harness the potential of Bhaderwah as a prominent tourist destination and to seek the inputs and suggestions of private stakeholders for effective implementation of the plan.
The DC emphasized on creating Shopping Malls, luxury hotels, Gamming facilities, food courts, and other amenities to attract international and domestic tourists. He stressed on the stakeholders to make all the arrangements in advance for the upcoming Mela Pat and Kailash Yatra. He informed that the administration is mulling to hold cultural programmes during these two religious festivities to showcase the district's rich culture and heritage to the tourists and pilgrims.
It was also informed in the meeting that this year more than two lakh tourists have chosen Bhaderwah as their favourite destination by visiting here and a huge footfall is expected during the ongoing Summer, Kailash Yatra and Mela Pat.
The meeting witnessed the participation of several private stakeholders, including hoteliers, tour operators, adventure sports organizers, and local representatives. The DC apprised the stakeholders of the vision and objectives of the tourism promotion in the district.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized that Bhaderwah with its rich cultural heritage, scenic beauty, and adventurous treks offer a variety of attractions for tourists. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts between the government and private stakeholders to attract tourists and promote the region's unique attractions.
The private stakeholders provided valuable inputs and suggestions to tap the tourism potential of Bhaderwah. They highlighted the need for better infrastructure, improved connectivity and promotional strategy to attract maximum tourists. The stakeholders also emphasised the importance of preserving the region's natural beauty and cultural heritage while developing tourism infrastructure.
The DC assured to work closely with all stakeholders to create a conducive environment for the growth of the tourism sector in Bhaderwah
