DDC chairs public grievances redressal camp, assures swift resolutions

RAJOURI, July 26: As part of the weekly Block Diwas initiative, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a public grievances redressal camp at Katarmal panchayat in block Pangrain.
During the camp, the public and their representatives raised a number of issues, including the need for better road infrastructure, up-gradation of government institutions, improved healthcare facilities and provision of adequate staff in Government Institutions.
Specific issues included road connectivity for village Dayali, up-gradation of GPS Dalayali and BMS Katarmal , augmentation of water etc. Officers from different departments briefed the public about the schemes being implemented in the district and responded to queries related to their departments.
The DDC gave a patient hearing to all the issues raised by the public and assured them that their genuine concerns would be addressed in a phased manner. He also highlighted various livelihood generation schemes of the government and urged the youth to take advantage of them.
Stressing on close coordination between frontline workers and public representatives, he urged them to work together for the prompt delivery of essential services and sustainable development of the region.
In response to the issue of water scarcity, the DDC assured that all households in the block would be provided functional tapped water connections with the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission. Similarly, while addressing the other issues and demands, the DDC directed concerned officers to work towards resolving the difficulties of the people at the earliest.
The DDC highlighted the efforts being put in to complete the targets with regard to the construction of border bunkers and implementation of PMAY-G and Awas Plus programs. He urged the youth to avail themselves of the benefits of livelihood generation schemes and emphasized the importance of the HADP program for holistic agriculture development.
Additionally, the DDC highlighted the ongoing work on JJM schemes and the PMGSY program meant to connect all unconnected habitations. He urged the residents to cooperate with the district administration to curb illegal mining and reminded lambardars and chowkidars of their crucial role in the development process.
The DDC exhorted officers to take immediate measures to mitigate the problems highlighted during the public outreach program. He urged the PRIs to play a crucial role in the development process and ensure that all developmental works were completed within the set timelines while adhering to quality parameters.
The public grievances redressal camp was a positive step towards addressing the concerns of the people and ensuring their welfare. The DDC's assurance of swift resolution of genuine concerns and commitment to sustainable development was hailed by the people.
Among the others, the CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACD, Vijay Kumar; ACP, Sheraz Chowhan; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; LDM, Sanjeev Bhasin; EXEN Jal Shakti Rajouri, Ashwini Sharma; EXEN PWD(R&B) Rajouri, Sardar Khan; EXEN PDD Rajouri, Tasadaq Hussain besides other district and sectoral officers attended the event.
