| GDC Ramnagar conducted mega plantation drive | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 26: GDC Ramnagar in collaboration with Forest Protection Force Department conducted mega plantation drive under Green J&K mission in college premises around College girls hostel and near academic block in presence of College Principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, staff members and officers from the Forest Protection Force.
The aim of the plantation drive was to enhance the green cover of the college by planting ornamental, fruit and medicinal trees like Amla, Neem, Arjuna, Chinar etc.. Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, Principal of the College was the chief guest on the occasion. Forest protection department was represented by Assistant Directors Anand Swaroop and Suresh Anthal. Faculty members, students, NCC and NSS volunteers planted saplings during the plantation event. Among others who planted saplings included Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, Dr. Monica and Prof. Ritika Mahajan.
On this occasion NCC and NSS volunteers also collected the plastic waste from the College campus and disposed off in a proper manner to make campus plastic and polythene free. |
