APS Dhar Road celebrates 'Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav' with patriotic fervor

JAMMU, July 26: Army Public School Dhar Road, under the guidance of Controlling Formation 611 (I) AD Bde, celebrated the grand 'Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav' to commemorate India's historic war victory and pay tribute to the brave Kargil Martyrs, who epitomize courage and sacrifice in safeguarding the nation's borders.
The festivities commenced a week prior on July 18, 2023, with an Inter School Poster Making Competition centered around the theme 'Kargil Vijay Diwas.' The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of APS Dhar Road and KV No-2. The event was organized in two rounds, with Round 1 taking place at the Intra School level, followed by Round 2, where 80 shortlisted students competed at APS Dhar Road.
The highlight of the celebration was the grand Prize Distribution Ceremony held on July 26, 2023. Mrs. Divya Khanna, Chairperson of FWO, HQ 611 (I) AD Bde, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The students presented a mesmerizing cultural program, comprising patriotic songs and dances, creating an atmosphere brimming with patriotism.
During the ceremony, Divya Khanna felicitated the winners of the Inter School Poster Making Competition with various types of Colour and Painting Kits. She commended the students for their outstanding creativity and remarkable imagination. The Chief Guest also extended her appreciation to all participants and treated them to a refreshing experience.
Dr. Jyoti Bedyal, Principal of APS Dhar Road, conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest and the school's management. She motivated and encouraged the students to wholeheartedly serve the nation and to nurture the values of patriotism within them. Dr. Bedyal also congratulated all the prize winners for their exceptional performances.
The cultural extravaganza, filled with a fervent sense of patriotism, culminated with the rendition of the National Anthem, symbolizing unity and pride in being Indian.
