BISHNAH, July 27: The NSS unit, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Govt Degree College Bishnah, organized a significant Plantation Drive while paying homage to the martyrdom of our brave heroes as part of the Meri Mati Mera Desh Campaign. The initiative took place at its adopted Panchayat Ratnal.
With full support from the Sarpanch and Panches of Ratnal Panchayat, the Plantation Drive saw the planting of 60 plants of various varieties at the Cremation Ground Ratnal. The event aimed at contributing to environmental conservation while commemorating the sacrifices made by our heroes.
A special program to honor the martyrdom of five heroes was conducted at Panchayat Ghar in Chak Hasal. During this program, five families of martyrs were revered, and they were presented with mementos as an expression of society's gratitude towards their supreme sacrifices.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Manohar Lal, the college's Principal, expressed deep respect and honor for the martyrs from Ratnal Panchayat. He emphasized that their courageous sacrifices would continue to inspire the youth of the area to serve the motherland and its people with unwavering dedication and commitment to security.
Kamal Singh, the Sarpanch of the Panchayat, extended heartfelt gratitude to the families of the martyrs for raising such brave souls who selflessly sacrificed their lives for the safety and security of the nation. Their sacrifices have ensured that the community can live a life of peace and security.
The entire program was skillfully managed by NSS volunteer Arti Sharma, who played a pivotal role in organizing and coordinating the proceedings. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Amit Kumar Sharma.
The Plantation Drive and Martyrdom Honoring Program were poignant reminders of the bravery and sacrifice of our heroes and a testament to the commitment of the Govt Degree College Bishnah and the local community towards environmental conservation and paying homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
