Uttrakhand based absconder apprehended in Rajasthan by CB Jammu

JAMMU, Aug 1: A special team from the Economic Offences Wing of Crime Branch Jammu successfully apprehended Mukesh Aggarwal, an absconder accused, from Rajasthan. Mukesh Aggarwal, son of Chhitramal, hailing from Lane No. 07-10 Mohit Nagar, Extension Opposite Wadiya Institute Dehradun, Uttarakhand, was evading arrest in connection with a case registered under FIR No. 10/2013, involving offenses under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC), and Section 5/2 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2006.
The accused had been constantly changing his locations outside the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in an attempt to evade arrest for the past two years. The Court had issued a warrant under Section 512 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.PC) against him after the Crime Branch Jammu produced a charge sheet against him.
The arrest of Mukesh Aggarwal was crucial to bringing the perpetrator to justice. The Crime Branch Jammu, in coordination with the Rajasthan Police, planned and executed the operation to apprehend the absconder from Rajasthan. After his arrest, he was brought to Jammu and produced before the Court of law to face legal proceedings.
The Economic Offences Wing of Crime Branch Jammu has been successful in arresting a total of five absconders in the last eight weeks, showcasing their commitment to bringing fugitives to justice and ensuring accountability for economic offenses.
The apprehension of Mukesh Aggarwal is a significant achievement for law enforcement, highlighting their determination in pursuing absconding criminals and upholding the rule of law. The successful operation serves as a testament to the relentless efforts of the Crime Branch Jammu in curbing economic offenses and maintaining law and order in the region.
