Murder mystery solves,murderer held

Leh, Jan 25:Leh Police has claimed to have solved a sensational murder case which took place at Mangyu village of Leh district during the intervened night of 30th and 31st December, 2008.
SR Samuel,SSP Leh in a Press Conference told to the media persons today that in an unusual instance of triangular love story case between elderly and well matured persons, Manla Tondup son of Tondup Skalzang (63 years) has murdered Rigzin Dorje son of Tsering Norboo (60 years) at his resident with an aim to eliminate him to ensure a permanent relationship with his wife (Tsering Dolkar 55 years).
Sameul told that at the preliminary stage, the death of late Rigzin was presented before the Police and the villagers as an accidental case of falling him down from the stair of the house, but Police suspected from the multiple injured body of the deceased that it was not an accidental death. Later, the postmortem report manifest that it was a clear and an intentional murder case that carried out at the residential house of the deceased.
The SSP said that the Police after conducting investigation and inquiry on the basis of postmortem reports, the wife of the deceased, Tsering Dolkar confessed that she had a prolong illegal relationship with the murderer and her husband was the only obstruction for Manla Tondup to patch up a lasting bond with her. Sameul further said that after murdering her husband by hitting him with sharp stones, the murderer also threatened Dolkar to shut her mouth up or face the same consequences if she discloses the facts.
Terming it as a big achievement for Leh Police, the SSP said that the whole episode of this thrilling case has been solved in a record time of 24 hours. He appreciated the dedicated work of Police Officers who investigated the case and brought the culprits behind the bar.
At the same time, Sameul appealed every citizens of the district to extend their fullest cooperation with the Police authority in all kind of circumstances and said that it would be in the interest and security of the people.
The Dy. Superintendent of Police, Leh, Mandip Kuar , SHO, Leh, . Mehraj Giri, Inspector Wangchuk and other Police Officers also present in the Press Conference.
