Weekly Block Diwas: DC holds public meeting at CFC Ghordi

UDHAMPUR, Aug 2: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today visited Block Ghordi and listened to scores of public issues and demands during weekly Block Diwas held at CFC building Ghordi Jagir of Sub Division Ramnagar.
PRI members projected several issues and demands which include Repairing of High School Upper Rasain, Maintenance of Ghordi to Udhampur and other link roads, Shortage of staff in schools of the block, PHC, Ghordi, Repair of foot bridge over Neeli Nallah, shortage of staff in Animal Husbandry, Installation of ATM machine, Establishment of Degree College and KV school for Ghordi, Mobile network problem in Nallah Malian, Opening of JK Bank branch at Barmeen etc.
The Deputy Commissioner after patiently hearing the public issues and demands passed on-spot directions to the concerned officers for redressal of public grievances in a time bound manner. Executive Engineers PMGSY and PWD were directed to resolve the issues of the public within 7 days and asked them to personally visit the areas and monitor the latest progress of various roads.
During the camp, the DC also sanctioned Rs. 25 lacs for Primary School building at Sairbahi. CEO was directed to resolve the issues of public regarding shortage of staff in various schools of the block on priority basis. Besides CMO was asked to depute a Doctor from SDH, Ramnagar for two days in a week to PHC, Ghordi.
BDC Chairman, Aarti Sharma, SDM, Ramnagar Shishir Gupta and other senior officers of various departments besides Sarpanches, Panches and general public of adjoining areas participated in the camp.
