Early Times Report

SAMBA, Aug 2: The District Administration Samba organized a public outreach camp at Panchayat Naran, with the primary objective of evaluating local issues and addressing the grievances of the people.
Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma and a team of dedicated senior functionaries, the event garnered active participation from various representatives of Panchayati Raj institutions.
During the camp, Sarpanch Geetanjali Sharma acknowledged the commendable efforts of different departments, including PDD and Health, in ensuring the welfare of the citizens.
The camp provided a platform for the locals to voice several concerns, such as land compensation, building permissions, and the need for an improved drainage system. Moreover, the attendees emphasized the importance of better basic amenities, such as consistent power supply, portable water, quality healthcare, education facilities, and improved road connectivity.
Responding to the issues raised, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departmental heads to take immediate action and submit an action taken report before the next scheduled Block Diwas.
The DC underscored the significance of prioritizing grievances and ensuring their resolution within specific timelines. Additionally, he instructed the Block Development Officer (BDO) to facilitate inclusive participation in the planning process for the development of the Block.
The event witnessed a remarkable turnout of prominent personalities, including ADDC Rajinder Singh, SDM Sunaina Saini, ACD Siddharth Dhiman, District Mineral Officer Mohammad Sayeed, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vidhi Bhutyal, Executive Engineers from PWD, PDD, PHE, R&B, officers from District Social Welfare, Information, Tehsildar, and other district and sectoral officers.
The Block Diwas initiative remains steadfast in its commitment to directly engage with the people, actively listen to their grievances, and diligently address them in a coordinated and efficient manner. The District Administration Samba reaffirms its dedication to fostering development and enhancing the overall well-being of the community.
