DC Kishtwar inaugurates Amritsarovar during block diwas programme

KISHTWAR, Aug 2: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today visited Block Mughal maidan of district Kishtwar, where he presided over the Block Diwas Programme to address the grievances of the people promptly.
The highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the Amritsarovar at Panchayat Kuchhal B, constructed by RDD Block Mughal Maidan at a cost of 2 lakhs. Accompanying him were Vice-Chairperson DDC Kishtwar, Saima Shabir Lone, SDM Chatroo, Shokat Hayat Mattoo, ACD Kishtwar, Manoj Kumar, Tehsildar Mughal Maidan, Nayiem Iqbal Sheikh, DSWO Kishtwar, Zubair Ahmed Lone,BDO Mughal Maidan, Dheeraj Bahadur,CEO Kishtwar Prehlad Bhagat, CAO Amjad Hussain Malik, CHO, Sajid Mustafa, Panchayat Mentor, Dr. Nasir Ahmed, Principal HSS Kuchhal, C.R. Parihar, along with the field functionaries of RDD and other line departments and PRIs.
During the Block Diwas Programme held at HS Kuchhal, scores of people and PRIs from Panchayats Kuchhal A, B, and C actively participated and highlighted various grievances related to the upgradation of local infrastructure in the Health, Education, Power, Water, and Rural Development sectors.
The main demands included the establishment of NTPC in Kuchhal area, addressing staff shortages in HSS Kuchhal and the health sector, establishment of an Animal Husbandry Centre at Kuchhal, coverage of left-out beneficiaries under Awas Plus, sanctioning of a Solar Plant in far-off areas of Kuchhal, timely payment under Material & MGNREGA Wages, provision of playfields in panchayats, construction of link roads to unconnected habitations, and the development of the tourism sector in the area.
Deputy Commissioner patiently listened to the grievances and assured the PRIs that their concerns would be redressed in a time-bound manner. Several grievances were promptly addressed on the spot, in consultation with the concerned officers and officials of the respective departments.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of accountability and transparency in rural infrastructure development. He urged the people to use the designated portal to access information about the works dedicated to their panchayats under different schemes. Additionally, he informed the masses about tourism capacity-building training programs organized by the District administration in collaboration with KDA and the tourism department.
The programs aim to enhance capacities and entrepreneurship skills among the youth in the area, offering opportunities for apprenticeship programs in the hospitality sector.
Addressing the shortage of staff in Health Centres and schools, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar directed the CMO and CEO Kishtwar to look into the matter and ensure proper rationalization of staff as per the need. He also assured the installation of a Solar Power Plant in areas facing electricity supply issues. Furthermore, SDM Chatroo was instructed to prioritize the resolution of compensation issues for the people. The CAO and CHO were directed to disseminate awareness about the schemes related to their departments through mass-mode awareness, educating farmers and orchardists about crop and fruit diseases.
