RS PURA, Aug 5: In response to a complaint received from the office of Block Medical Officer, RS Pura, regarding a theft incident, the police have successfully made an arrest and recovered stolen items.
On the intervening night of 4th and 5th August 2023, 01 Desktop, 01 mouse, 01 keyboard, and 01 charger were reported stolen from PHC Simbal Camp. The incident prompted the registration of FIR No. 129/2023 under sections 457/380/IPC at the local police station, and an investigation was initiated.
Led by SDPO R S Pura Sh. Nikhil Gogna, a police party from P/S Miran Sahib, assisted by SHO PS Miran Sahib Insp. Bopinder Singh, and under the overall supervision of SP Headquarter Sh. Ramnish Gupta, diligently analyzed various CCTV footage to gather crucial information.
Based on the CCTV footage, the police team conducted rigorous efforts and successfully apprehended a suspect named Rajinder Singh, son of Varinder Singh, residing in Simbal Camp Ward No. 01, Tehsil R S Pura, Distt. Jammu.
During questioning, the accused, Rajinder Singh, confessed to his involvement in the theft case. Acting on his disclosure, the stolen desktop computer along with its accessories, including 01 Keyboard, 01 Mouse, and 01 AC adapter, were recovered from his possession.
The police continue their investigation into the matter to ensure all aspects of the case are thoroughly examined.
