RAJOURI, Aug 5: In a momentous occasion held at the DC Office Rajouri, the appointment orders were distributed among 168 new newly recruited Anganwadi Workers, Helpers after a transparent selection process.
The event was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, in presence of ADDC, Pawan Kumar Parihar; PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; CAO, Sohan Singh; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; DIO, Israr Bukhari; DIO NIC, Muzaffar Mir; AD Planning, Mohd Rafi and other officers.
The ceremony commenced with the attendees joining an online session at SKICC Srinagar, where LG Manoj Sinha addressed the gathering. Subsequently, the distribution of appointment letters took place.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the remarkable work accomplished by the ICDS team in the district. He lauded the transparent recruitment process and congratulated the DPO Rajouri.
The distribution of appointment orders to the 168 Sangnis (Anganwadi workers) Sahayikas (Anganwadi helpers) signifies a significant milestone in strengthening the ICDS services in the district. The administration remains committed to providing essential support and resources to ensure the well-being and growth of the region's children and beneficiaries.
Addressing the gathering, the PO ICDS emphasized the critical role of Poshan (ICDS) in improving the nutritional status of children, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers in the district. He commended the team's efforts in revitalizing and re-energizing the Anganwadi centers, ensuring dedicated service to the children and beneficiaries of Poshan schemes.
In addition to the engagement orders, the event witnessed the distribution of 20 motorized tricycles (Scooties) among specially abled persons, further emphasizing the government's commitment to inclusivity and empowerment. The scooties will provide enhanced mobility and independence to those with disabilities, enabling them to navigate their daily life more efficiently.
