DC Reasi listens to people’s issues at Weekly Block Diwas program

REASI, Aug 9: The Weekly Block Diwas meeting was today held at Panchayat Sool under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Reasi Babila Rakwal.
At the outset of the event, District Development Council member Panthal along with the Block Development Officer Panthal and Sarpanch Panchayat Halqua Sool, welcomed the District Development Commissioner, Reasi and other government functionaries by presenting Chunries of Mata Vaishno Devi.
The Block Diwas encompassed a comprehensive discussion on various schemes of Block Panthal which includes various Departments.
District Development Commissioner Babila Rakwal, along with other senior officers, PRIs & locals inhabitants of Block Panthal attended the Block Diwas meeting.
The locals apprised the District Commissioner about different issues pertaining to their areas & sought her intervention for timely redressal of the grievances.
On the occasion, the locals and PRI members raised various demands and issues and demanded up-gradation of water and Power infrastructure, Road connectivity, black topping of Roads and other issues of public importance.
The DDC said that district administration is ensuring timely redressal of the genuine demands and a proper mechanism is adopted to ensure quality & early Redressal of issues.
At the end, the chair passed instructions to the representatives of line Departments to take appropriate action to meet the aspirations of the people.
Anirudh Rai, Assistant Commissioner Development, Reasi, Deepak Dubey, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Katra , Rajinder Mengi Member of District Development Council, Panthal, Manoj Raina, Mehak Chowdhary Block Development Officer, Panthal and Jyoti devi Sarpanch Panchayat Halqua Sool along with field staff and Officer and officials of various line Departments were also present in the Block Divas.
