One day awareness camp empowers students with essential knowledge

Jammu, Aug 9: An insightful one-day Awareness programme was conducted at Activity Public Higher Secondary School, Janipur, Jammu, under the capable supervision of Dy. SP Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 200 students from the school.
During the programme, students were equipped with essential knowledge on First Aid and Fire Fighting, with a special emphasis on combating Drug Addiction, provided by experts from the Civil Defence.
The primary aim of this awareness program was to sensitize students and staff members to precautionary measures during both natural and man-made disasters, as well as to shield students from the perils of drug addiction.
A comprehensive lecture on Disaster Management was delivered, while also shedding light on the critical side effects of drugs. The Principal of the Higher Secondary School commended the Civil Defence’s efforts in spreading awareness about disaster management and rescue operations. He expressed his hope for the continuation of such impactful programs in the future.
Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden CD, Jammu; R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden CD, Jammu; Manohar Lal Gupta, Managing Director of the School; Arjun Mahajan, Administrator of the School; and other staff members were present at the occasion, reflecting the collective commitment to enhancing the safety and awareness of the students.
