PDP asks Govt to act on pay report
1/27/2009 10:14:07 PM

Early Times Report
Srinagar, Jan 27- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the State Government to implement the recommendations of the 6th Pay Commission without any dilly dallying on the issue.
In a statement issued here today, a PDP spokesman said as all the political parties are committed to the implementation of the 6th Pay Commission recommendations in favor of the State Government employees, the same must be implemented without any further delay to avoid any confrontation on the issue. "PDP hopes that the Government would initiate measures towards the implementation of the 6th Pay Commission recommendations at the earliest," he said.
"Delaying the implementation of the Pay Commission recommendations, apparently, for political purposes, would neither serve the purpose of the Government nor the employees," the spokesman said and added that the Government should not play politics with the issue.
Expressing solidarity with the Government employees, the spokesman said that PDP would always support their genuine demands to ensure better performance and delivery of services by the employees.
