| VO presents challan against BOSE official | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 27- Vigilance Organization today presented challan in a trap case against an employee of Board of School Education (BOSE) who was caught red-handed by the Vigilance Organization in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu. According to the challan one Sajjad Hussain Shah son of Abdul Rashid Shah resident of Palmar Kishtwar lodged a complaint with Vigilance Organization here on February 15, 2008 stating therein that his father’s name is Abdul Rashid Shah but on the diploma and marks certificate of matriculation examination his father’s name has been mentioned as Abdul Kashid Shah which was incorrect. For making necessary correction in the parentage the complainant approached the Board of School Education and also deposited Rs 700 as fee. The complainant alleged that an employee in the registration section, name not known to him, had demanded Rs 1500 as bribe money for issuing the correct certificates and accused had called him on February 15, 2008 with the bribe amount. VOJ after registering the case, constituted a trap team and laid trap and caught the accused red-handed and recovered the bribe money and registered a case u/s 5(1) (d) r/w section 5(2) J&K PC Act 2006 r/w section 161 RPC and after completion of the investigation today presented the challan in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu.
