| Health Minister seeks people's support for prosperity | | | Early Times Report Jammu, January 27- As a part of 60th Republic Day celebrations, Government Higher Secondary School, Jourian today organised a function which was presided over by Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma. Faculty, students and guests present in the function jointly sung National Anthem, while Minister unfurled the tri-colour. Students of various schools of Jourian block in different formations took part in march past, of which Minister took salute and inspected Guard of Honour. Officers of several departments were present on the occasion. Addressing the function, Mr. Sharma said that with the New Year's celebrations, new government was elected by people's mandate in the State. He said that it is again people's support that the state would be led towards peace and progress. He appealed the people to continue their support for dreams come true, seen by people during recent J&K Assembly Elections. However, he warned people to be cautious of nefarious designs of vested interests, who are bent upon to weaken the forces of secularism, brotherhood and mutual amity. Asking for leaving aside political differences, Mr. Sharma asked the people belonging to different religions castes and creeds to work for prosperity of the state in general and Akhnoor tehsil in particular. The students of various schools presented scintillating cultural bonanza on the occasion. Minister awarded trophies to heads of the participating schools on t he occasion. Later, Minister accompanied by Director Health Services, Jammu, Chief Medical Officer, Jammu and Block Medical Officer Akhnoor inspected Primary Health Centre, Jourian and took stock of the facilities being provided to the patients in the Centre. He also inquired about the welfare of patients. Interacting with the doctors and para-medical staff of PHC, Mr. Sharma directed them to work with zeal and dedication and ensure best possible medicare to the patients.
