The event was held at his birthplace in Akhnoor, and it served as both a homage to the brave soldier's memory and a step towards environmental nurturing.
Hav Sardari Lal's widow, Smt. Chanchala Devi, a 92-year-old lady, led a tree plantation drive along with local villagers as a mark of respect and remembrance. Hav Sardari Lal's legacy of bravery and dedication was continued by his wife through the act of planting trees, symbolizing growth, life, and memory.
The event was organized under the initiatives 'Mera Maati Mera Desh' and 'Veeron Ko Naman', reaffirming the Indian Army's commitment to honoring the sacrifices of soldiers like Hav Sardari Lal and contributing to environmental betterment.
