Three-Day ICOP on partition horrors remembrance day, I-Day organized by CBC J&K, Ladakh

reasi, Aug 14: The Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, J&K, Ladakh Region, organized a comprehensive three-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Program (ICOP) centered around the themes 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day' and 'Independence Day' as part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav' (AKAM) and 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' initiatives. The event took place at MAM College, Jammu, spanning from August 14 to August 16, 2023.
The ICOP was inaugurated by Dr. Gurdev Singh Rakhwal, the Principal of MAM College. He was accompanied by Dr. Sanjay Karloopia, Head of Department Geology, Sh. Gh. Abbas, Joint Director of CBC J&K, Ladakh & PIB Jammu, and Ms. Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director of CBC J&K, Ladakh.
The event saw active participation from students and teachers of various government schools, including Government Higher Secondary School Girls Bakshinagar, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Bakshinagar, Government Higher Secondary School Nawabad, Government Higher Secondary School Satwari, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Gandhinagar, and Government Polytechnic College Jammu.
Coordinators from the Education Department, Ms. Alka Sharma from GMS Alora, and Ms. Anjana Sharma from Girls Higher Secondary School Nawabad, also took part in the inaugural proceedings.
The students exhibited great enthusiasm as they engaged in activities such as singing, dancing, drawing, and other creative endeavors. The ICOP aimed to provide a platform for students from different government schools in Jammu to come together and actively participate in commemorating Partition Horrors Remembrance Day and celebrating Independence Day. The event fostered a sense of unity and patriotism among the participants, aligning with the larger goals of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav' and 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaigns.
