| Rs 24 Cr project for Jammu ropeway | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has floated tenders for the construction of Rs 24 crore passenger ropeway project from Mubarak Mandi to Bagh-e-Bahu in the Jammu city. This was revealed at a high level meeting presided over by the city Divisional Commissioner Sudhanshu Pandey here on Wednesday, official sources said. The project will be completed in two years of time after completing all codal formalities and the last date for receiving the tenders has been fixed February 10, sources said. Before starting the project, the J&K state cable car corporation (JKSCCC) will have to acquire no objection certificates (NOCs) from forests, flood control, power development, public health engineering, environment, ecology and revenue departments. Pandey asked the officers to personally visit the site at Bagh-e-Bahu for demarcation of land identified where the construction will be started, the sources said. He asked the Power Development authorities to ensure proper power connection and its supply over the 1.2 acres of identified land at Bagh-e-Bahu, they said.
