Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Aug 19: NSE Foundation, the CSR implementation arm of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSEIL), has established a cutting-edge CT scan wing at the esteemed 92 Base Hospital of the Indian Army in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
The inauguration of the CT scan wing took place today in the presence of Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai (15 Corps Commander), and Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of NSEIL.
The 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar is a multispecialty hospital with 598 beds, where numerous trauma patients are admitted for the treatment of gunshot wounds, shrapnel injuries, and critical injuries that require rapid diagnosis. Equipping such a medical facility with an efficient and dependable CT scan machine is crucial to ensure accurate and timely treatment.
The provided equipment is the latest model by GE, known as Revolution Maxima, which boasts advanced features and performance capabilities. It incorporates AI-based technology that automates patient positioning within the scanner's bore. This results in quicker and more precise scans, leading to reduced waiting times and improved diagnosis effectiveness.
Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of NSE, expressed, "NSE is dedicated to serving the armed forces, who selflessly protect our nation. We are privileged to contribute to the well-being of our soldiers, who risk their lives daily to secure our borders. This initiative aims to support the healthcare needs of both army personnel and civilians in Jammu and Kashmir."
