JAMMU, Aug 19: Senior BJP leader, Devender Singh Rana, expressed his pride in Jammu's continuous achievements in various fields, stating that the city is not only known as the City of Temples but is also emerging as a hub of education and research in northern India.
Speaking at the annual day function of Divine Light St Mary's School, Domana, Devender Rana highlighted the positive strides Jammu has taken in the field of education. He mentioned the upcoming establishments of IIT, IIM, and AIIMS, which he believes will be game-changers, producing exceptional professionals and technocrats and meeting the expectations of the people.
However, Rana acknowledged the challenges faced by young individuals in today's stressful environment and stressed the importance of providing conducive academic environments. He emphasized the role of basic level schools as the foundation for a student's growth and development. He called for regular teacher-parent interactions to guide youngsters towards positive pursuits.
Rana encouraged educational institutions to focus on motivating and preparing students for academic excellence and excellence in extracurricular activities. He stated that teachers play a vital role not only in academic development but also in shaping students' moral, social behavior, and discipline.
Devender Rana commended the Divine Light St Mary's School, Domana, for rising to the occasion and meeting students' requirements. He urged the school to keep pace with modern trends in education to equip students with the confidence and vigor needed to face a competitive world.
During the event, the school's Chairman, Parmod Kapahi, highlighted the holistic growth of students by providing quality education along with engagement in sports and extracurricular activities. The Managing Director, Mr. Danish Kapahi, also expressed confidence that the school is well-positioned to shape students' destinies, making them valuable assets to society and the nation.
