Notorious criminal booked under PIT NDPS Act by PS Akhnoor

JAMMU, Aug 19: A notorious individual, identified as Anil Singh alias Furtila, son of Madan Singh, hailing from Hamirpur and residing in Koudeywala, Akhnoor, District Jammu, has been booked under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1988 (PIT NDPS Act). This action was taken following reliable information received by PS Akhnoor about the activities of the aforementioned individual.
In response to the information, a special police team from PS Akhnoor, led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma and assisted by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, conducted a raid at the suspected location. As a result of the raid, the notorious criminal, who had been involved in various cases of drug peddling and narcotics dealing, was apprehended.
It’s noteworthy that a warrant of arrest had been issued against this accused individual by the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu.
In accordance with the directives of the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, the detention warrant under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1988 (PIT NDPS Act) has been executed.
The accused has been duly sent to District Jail Amphalla, Jammu, after completing all necessary legal formalities.
This action signifies the commitment of the authorities to curb the menace of drug-related activities and ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
