Jammu Police Seizes 06 Vehicles Involved in Illegal Mining

JAMMU, Aug 19: Taking a strong stand against the rampant issue of illegal mining, Jammu Police has executed a multi-faceted strategy to curb this menace. Police teams from PS Bishnah, PS Nagrota, PP Chatha, and PP Talab Tillo acted decisively based on specific inputs, conducting raids in their respective areas. As a result, they successfully seized 06 vehicles engaged in illegal mining. The details of the seized vehicles are as follows:
• One tractor without Registration number, seized by PS Bishnah.
• Two vehicles, including one dumper with Registration No. JK02CW9273 and one tipper with Registration No. JK02AC5128, seized by PS Nagrota.
• Two tractor trollies with Chassis No. GZDDG738403S3 and MBNGAALUPLRH02260, seized by PP Chatha.
• One tractor trolley with Chassis No. MBNBU53AAMCF89163, seized by PP Talab Tillo.
The successful recoveries were made by the dedicated efforts of SHO PS Bishnah, Inspector Vikram Sharma; SHO PS Nagrota, Inspector Vishav Partap Singh; I/C PP Chatha, PSI Harjinder Paul Singh; and I/C PP Talab Tillo, PSI Sonu Choudhary, within their respective jurisdictions.
The authorities have also informed the District Mining Officer (DMO) of Jammu about these developments.
It has been determined that the mining operations were conducted in direct violation of the orders issued by the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a bid to firmly enforce regulations against illegal mining and to hold violators accountable, Jammu Police has embarked on this rigorous course of action.
