UTTAR PRADESH, Aug 20: A significant milestone has been achieved in the field of healthcare services in Noida as Indian Railways takes a major step towards improving the well-being of its beneficiaries. The Railway Health Unit, located in the expansive IRCON building in Sector 1, Noida, was inaugurated today by Anil Kumar Lahoti, Chairman & CEO of Railway Board. The ceremony was attended by Shobhan Chaudhuri, General Manager of Northern Railway, Dr. Sugandha Raha, Director General of Railway Health Services, and Sukhvinder Singh DRM Delhi, along with senior officers of Railway Board and Northern Railway.
Positioned at the heart of Noida and easily accessible via the metro network, this state-of-the-art health unit is set to transform healthcare access for Railway officers and employees, as well as retired railway beneficiaries and their families. This facility brings much-needed relief to retired railway personnel residing nearby, who have long desired local access to high-quality healthcare. They will no longer need to undertake lengthy journeys to Delhi for their medical needs, particularly in their senior years.
The Railway Health Unit is designed with meticulous attention to create a serene and comforting environment that puts patients at ease. It is led by a dedicated senior doctor and supported by a compassionate and efficient staff, carefully chosen to cater to the diverse healthcare requirements of beneficiaries. The primary aim of this establishment is to provide comprehensive primary healthcare, ensuring prompt medical attention for retired railway personnel, all within their local community.
This thoughtful provision extends to family members who can access healthcare services even when employees are not present, fostering a sense of security and well-being throughout the railway community.
In addition, the Railway Health Unit plans to host multi-specialty health camps, allowing beneficiaries to consult specialized doctors without having to travel long distances. This innovative approach underscores Indian Railways' commitment to holistic healthcare, setting a new standard for convenience and excellence in medical services. This achievement would not have been possible without the collaboration of community partners like IRCON.
The inauguration ceremony was a moment of pride and accomplishment, showcasing Indian Railways' dedication to the health and welfare of its beneficiaries. The Railway Health Unit is set to usher in a new era of healthcare accessibility, redefining medical services in Noida for railway beneficiaries.
