| TIM opens its first centre at Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Jan 28- Trade-wings Institute of Management, popularly known as TIM, has opened its centre at Jammu for providing professional / vocational Training in the field of Aviation, Tourism and Hospitality. Announcing this at a press conference here today Rajan Dhani Director, TIM said that the mission of the institution is to bring affordable vocational, training at doorsteps of the students. TIM will make undergraduates, employable in the field of Aviation, Tourism and Hospitality. This will certainly help unemployed youth and migrant youth in Jammu to choose a right career in the booming field of Aviation and Tourism, he added. He said TIM is also planning to launch destination specific courses for J&K destinations and would like to promote ‘Tourism Co-operatives’ for locals to participate in Tourism Development. TIM also extends 100% placement assistance to all the successful candidates and arranges interviews for candidates with prospective employers not only in Jammu but other areas wherever TIM has its centres, he claimed. Dhani said .TIM is a part of well known Trade-wings group engaged in the field of Travel and Travel related services business since 1949. It has over 60 centres throughout the country and has trained over 50000 students till date who are employed by various walks of industry throughout the world. Trade-wings group is a pioneer of Tourism Industry in India and also in J&K. Trade-wings brought many well known tourism groups to valley from North America as well as Europe. Trade-wings also owns a 5 star deluxe Hotel property at Goa, The Bognallo Beach Resort. The group has over 50 RBI approved full fledged money changers licenses throughout the country.
He said the Jammu Centre of the Institute is first training centre of TIM in J&K. After settling in Jammu, TIM plans to open its next centre in the valley. He said Rattan Lal Bhan a well known social worker is Patron of Jammu Centre while former Chief Secretary Vijay Bakaya is its Chief Patron, he said and added that under their able leadership and guidance, the TIM Centre hopes to make a lasting impression by creating more and more employment opportunities for the youth of the state
