Kavinder Gupta meets Defence Minister to discuss Border Battalions, Peace

NEW DELHI, Aug 22: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, held a meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss several important matters related to Jammu & Kashmir. During the meeting, Kavinder Gupta highlighted the status of raising border battalions, peace efforts along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC), and the current political scenario in the Union Territory.
Kavinder Gupta briefed the Defence Minister about the ongoing political situation in Jammu & Kashmir and the administration's efforts to restore lasting peace. He expressed optimism that terrorism has significantly decreased and is on the decline, indicating a positive trajectory towards peace. He also praised the proactive work of the BJP cadre and the unity among party members.
One of the key issues discussed was the welfare of border dwellers. Kavinder Gupta raised the importance of border battalions for the residents living near the borders. In response, the Defence Minister informed Kavinder that his ministry is already in the process of recruiting border battalions in the Union Territory.
The meeting also delved into the status of bunker construction along the borders and the timeline for providing remaining facilities to border residents. Kavinder Gupta highlighted the positive impact of BJP government policies and plans on the population, emphasizing the progress made on the development front.
Rajnath Singh expressed satisfaction with the recent developments in the Union Territory and urged the BJP unit in Jammu & Kashmir to continue their good work. He emphasized the upcoming elections and the importance of grassroots-level outreach by the party's cadre for success in the political contests ahead.
