| Somawati Amavas celebrations conclude at Haridwar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Jan 30: A three day post ‘Somawati Amavas’ religious celebrations organized by Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust at Haridwar concluded last night. The auspicious day of Somawati Amavas was celebrated with religious sanctity and fervor, amidst performance of religious rituals at Haridwar. The four day function was attended by a large number of devotees belonging to all sections of the society from Jammu province. Besides accommodation free langar was served to all the devotees who paid visit to Bhawan on this holy occasion. About 30,000 devotees were served wholesome meals, comprising morning tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner, during these days. The special features of the celebrations were donation of Maruti van for the facility of the pilgrims from Jammu division visiting Haridwar, by the family members of late Satpal Langar the founder president of Yatri Bhawan Trust. Family members of late Langar also donated a spacious dinning hall with all the modern facilities, constructed at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs within the premises at Haridwar. The proprietors, management, employees and customers of Swastika Plastic Industry and Swastik Hotel Jammu donAted a modern sanitary kitchen, with latest cooking gadgets and system, installed in the Yatri Bhawan premises Haridwar. Pawan Shastri, president of the trust heartily thanked the devotees who visited the holy place and provided opportunity to trust and to extend them the warmest hospitality.
