Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 1: In recognition of the importance of preparedness for unexpected emergencies, a comprehensive First-Aid Training Program was conducted for the employees of M/S RVS iGlobal. This four-day training initiative, which took place from August 28th to August 31st, 2023, was held at the premises of RVS iGlobal - RVS Informatics IT Private Ltd. located on Narwal Bye Pass in Jammu.
While we all strive to take safety precautions in our daily lives, there's always the possibility of unforeseen incidents occurring. Therefore, it becomes crucial to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in case of an emergency. The Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory, remains committed to raising awareness among people of all age groups by providing timely and proper First-Aid training. This training not only helps in minimizing injuries but also reduces the potential for future disabilities in disaster situations.
During the training sessions, the employees had the privilege of learning from experienced medical professionals. Dr. Kavita Nijohn Verma and Dr. Aasia Noor, both Medical Officers from the Indian Red Cross Society, offered in-depth insights into essential topics such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Practical learning sessions allowed participants to gain first-hand experience in CPR techniques. Additionally, the training covered methods for handling fractures, rescuing and transporting patients, and effectively utilizing local resources during disasters. Practical field activities were also integrated into the curriculum to enhance understanding and preparedness.
Kanchan Devi, Sup. Pharmacist, and Ms. Nazia Bano, FMPHW, delved into subjects like wound care, basic first aid equipment usage, dealing with poison-related incidents, managing snake bites, and responding to stings. The training sessions were further supported by Vironica Marwah, Field Officer, who played a crucial role in facilitating the program.
The entire training program was carried out under the watchful supervision and guidance of Mr. Rohit Khajuria, General Secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory.
This initiative underscores the commitment of both M/S RVS iGlobal and the Indian Red Cross Society to ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in the face of unforeseen challenges. By imparting First-Aid knowledge and skills, this training program empowers employees to respond effectively during emergencies, ultimately contributing to a safer community.
