Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 1: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District President of Jammu South has officially inaugurated the 'Amrit Kalash Yatra' as part of the 'Meri Mati-Mera Desh' campaign. This initiative commenced on September 1 and started in RS Pura, Miran Sahib Mandal, Gazipur Kullian Panchayat, in the esteemed presence of District Prabhari Ayodhya Gupta, DDC Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, District General Secretary Akash Chopra, Mandal President Bikram Sandhu, and prominent individuals from the area who joined during the program.
Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat explained, "The 'Amrit Kalash Yatra' involves collecting soil from every corner of the country in 7500 urns, which will eventually reach the capital, Delhi. Along with the soil, this journey will also carry saplings from different parts of the country. These soil and saplings will be used to create 'Amrit Vatika' near the National War Memorial, symbolizing 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat' (One India, Best India)."
Ayodhya Gupta emphasized that the campaign encompasses various programs, including the establishment of Shilaphalakams (memorial plaques) dedicated to freedom fighters and security forces. It also includes initiatives like the Panch Pran Pledge, Vasudha Vandan, and Veeron ka Vandan, which honor the courageous sacrifices of India's Bravehearts. Shilaphalakams will be erected in urban and rural areas to pay tribute to local heroes from villages, panchayats, blocks, towns, cities, municipalities, etc.
While engaging with local residents, Rekha Mahajan stated that this drive, initiated by PM Modi, aims to commemorate the "achievements of the nation and its brave hearts" and to honor the sacrifices of the martyred men and women. She mentioned that many programs would be organized across District Jammu South in memory of these immortal martyrs. Special inscriptions will be installed in hundreds of village panchayats in Jammu South as a tribute. Additionally, 'Amrit Kalash Yatra' will be organized nationwide as part of this campaign.
The 'Meri Mati Mera Desh Abhiyan' represents a dedication to preserving the nation's heritage, paying homage to its heroes, and fostering a sense of unity and pride among the citizens of India.
