Shiv Sena forms State Core Committee ahead of polls

JAMMU, Sept 1: In preparation for the forthcoming municipal and panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir Unit has officially announced the establishment of its State Committee.
The announcement follows a meeting of senior party officials convened at the Jammu Central State Office and was presided over by Manish Sahni, President of the J&K unit.
The newly formed 9-member State Core Committee includes the following members:
Meenakshi Chhibber, Sanjeev Kohli, Raj Singh, Balwant Singh, Vikas Bakshi, Raju Handa, Mamta Devi and Sukhvinder Kaur.
Sahni elaborated on the decision, emphasizing that it was made under the guidance of the party's National Secretary and Member of Parliament, Anil Desai. This move reflects the party's commitment to actively participate in the upcoming elections and contribute to the democratic process in Jammu and Kashmir.
In addition to the core committee formation, the party has also appointed Balwant Singh, Raj Singh, and Sanjeev Kohli as Coordinators for the 41st Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Holy Pilgrimage, further reinforcing their involvement in local and cultural activities.
The establishment of the State Core Committee signifies Shiv Sena (UBT)'s readiness to engage in the electoral process and work towards fulfilling its objectives in the region.
