JAMMU, Sept 2: The recently concluded Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the 4.5 lakh pilgrim mark, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri extended his warm greetings to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Singh and the entire administration for the seamless conduct of this revered pilgrimage.
Raman Suri lauded the role played by paramilitary forces and all individuals directly and indirectly involved in this year's Amarnath Yatra. He praised their commendable efforts, which ensured that pilgrims did not encounter any inconvenience and were able to perform their darshan comfortably.
Highlighting the success of this year's yatra, Raman Suri noted that it had surpassed the previous year's numbers, showcasing the enthusiasm of the devotees and the meticulous arrangements made by the administration. This year's annual yatra, spanning 62 days and commencing on July 1 from the twin tracks of Baltal and Nunwan-Pahalgam, witnessed the participation of approximately 4.5 lakh pilgrims.
Raman Suri expressed optimism that with ongoing efforts to enhance facilities for pilgrims, the yatra is likely to continue breaking its own records in the coming years. He also extended his greetings to Mahant Deependra Giri Ji for his unwavering dedication in ensuring the successful journey of Chhari Mubarak to the holy cave.
The BJP leader extended his appreciation to langar committees from various states and organizations that consistently contribute to the well-being of pilgrims during the yatra. Their selfless efforts have played a significant role in supporting the needs of the devotees.
Raman Suri highlighted the exemplary role played by the people of Kashmir who are directly associated with the yatra. Their support ensures a hassle-free pilgrimage experience and also creates employment opportunities. He emphasized that this unique bond between the people of the region and the yatra is a testament to Jammu and Kashmir's rich cultural ethos.
Raman Suri noted that this year's yatra was marked by the entire route being illuminated for pilgrims' convenience, reducing chaos, and favorable weather conditions. He appreciated the government's preparedness to handle any natural calamities promptly.
The successful pilgrimage also drew renowned badminton player Saina Nehwal, Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan, and numerous foreign participants, including visitors from the United States of America (USA).
Raman Suri's acknowledgment of the seamless organization of the Amarnath Yatra underscores the collective efforts of various stakeholders in ensuring a safe and spiritually enriching experience for the devotees.
