PM Modi elevates India's global status, rescues J&K from decades of turmoil: Rana
9/2/2023 10:35:13 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 2: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in steering India towards unprecedented economic resurgence on the global stage, especially in the challenging post-pandemic era. He also acknowledged the Prime Minister's efforts in bringing peace and normalcy to Jammu and Kashmir after three decades of foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Speaking at a homage-paying ceremony held in Challana, Panchayat Pounthal, as part of the "Meri Maati Mera Desh" program launched by the BJP, Devender Rana paid tribute to Martyr Head Constable Krishan Chand, who sacrificed his life on September 1, 2017, at Pantha Chowk in Srinagar.
Rana highlighted India's growing international stature under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, emphasizing his statesmanship in navigating India through global challenges, particularly in the post-pandemic era.
He also praised the Prime Minister for his dedication to bringing peace and normalcy to Jammu and Kashmir, which had been mired in turmoil for three decades due to foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Devender Rana criticized the previous political parties, including the PDP, Congress, and National Conference, for their lack of progress and the suffering endured by the people of Jammu and Kashmir over the past seven decades. He highlighted the positive transformations, development initiatives, and empowerment that have occurred since the dawn of normalcy in Kashmir.
Rana emphasized that the people of Jammu and Kashmir wanted a change in the political landscape, one that allowed for devolution of power, equitable opportunities for progress, and an equal role in decision-making for all regions and sub-regions. He attributed these changes to the political developments of August 5, 2019.
The BJP leader met with the martyr's family, including his wife Satya Devi and sons Raman Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, and Anil Kumar, and commended their resilience in the face of adversity. He expressed the sentiment that the sacrifice of the martyr would serve as an enduring source of inspiration for future generations.
Devender Rana also visited several Panchayats, including Jandrah, Dhan, and Nagola Panchayats of Dansal Block. During these visits, he engaged with the local population and addressed their grievances related to various government departments, including Education, Health, Power, Public Works, and Revenue.
This event highlights the BJP leader's recognition of the positive changes that have occurred in Jammu and Kashmir under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, as well as his commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of the local population.
