Mega events being held in Banihal, Ramsoo, Gool Sub-divisions

RAMBAN, Sept 2: In continuation to the Digital J&K Week campaign, three mega events will be organized at Subdivision level in Banihal, Ramsoo and Gool, said Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam while addressing the culmination function of 3-day Digi Mela at district headquarters, here today.
Senior Superintendent of Traffic Police, National Highway, Rohit Baskotra was the special guest on the occasion, while Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal, GM DIC Ravinder Anand, DSEO, Ganesh Kumar, CAHO, CHO, DSHO, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Rajeev Gai, DIO NIC, Parshant Kumar, PRIs and other senior officers also attended the programme.
The 3-day Digi Mela at Ramban- the part of Digital J&K Week campaign 2023 witnessed huge participation of people from all walks of life.
During the Mela the departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Health, Election, Revenue, Education, ICDS, Cooperative, JK Tourism, Social welfare, Transport, Labour and Employment, Rural Development, Banks, Common Services Centres, District Treasury Office and Municipal Council sensitized the participants about their online services besides providing handholding to them for availing the benefits of people oriented schemes at their doorsteps.
Elaborating the main objectives of Digital J&K Week campaign, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated efforts put in by all the departments to provide hassle free online services to people in a transparent manner.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged the people to avail benefits of 612 online services of different sectors to avoid frequent visits to the Government offices and other services providers. Encouraging the youth about the benefits of the Digital world, the Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic educated them about challenges pertaining to operating different apps on social media. He advised them to use social media judiciously and carefully to avoid any inconvenience. He impressed upon the youth to take proper guidance to avail the benefits of online services besides promoting the same in their society by imparting the training to others in their areas.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner and SSP Traffic flagged off Digital Yatra vehicle from District Administrative Complex, Ramban which will visit all the three subdivisions of the district to educate the people about available online services.
