DC Kishtwar finalises arrangements for Shri Krishan Janamashtami celebration-2023

KISHTWAR, Sept 2: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav today chaired a meeting here in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex Kishtwar to finalise the arrangements for Shri Krishan Janamashtami and Shoba Yatra.
The meeting was attended by SSP Kishtwar Khalil Ahmed Poswal; ADDC Sham Lal; ADC, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; ASP, Rajinder Singh; ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak; PO ICDS, Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma; ACD, Manoj Kumar besides other district officers of Line Departments and representatives of Sanatan Dharma Sabha.
The DC directed the concerned departments to make adequate arrangements regarding the security, sanitation, medical facilities, drinking water and other basic amenities for the smooth and successful culmination of the festival.
The SSP Kishtwar apprised the meeting that elaborate security measures have been put in place during Shoba Yatra, besides deploying additional security personnel en-route.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked to put in place a fool proof Traffic management plan and identify alternate routes for diversion of traffic to provide smooth passage to the Shoba Yatra.
The EO, Municipal Council Ninad Sen was asked to conduct a cleanliness drive and lime lining in and around the Shree Gourishankar ji Mandir Sarkoot, Shree Raghunath ji Mandir Semina and along the route of the procession. The authorities were also asked to repair lights in the streets and at the hot spots in the town to avoid inconvenience to the public during the festival night.
The PHE and PDD authorities were directed to ensure uninterrupted water and electricity supply during the festival, besides to ensure water tanker supply to identified locations.
Tehsildar Kishtwar, SHO Kishtwar and EO, Municipal Council Kishtwar were asked to conduct market checking along with enforcement teams to keep check on overcharging and quality of food stuff.Besides AD FCS & CA was asked to ensure adequate food stock at the depots.
The DC further directed the concerned authorities to clear and repair the roads from where the procession would take place.
Fire and Emergency authorities were directed to remain prepared to deal with any event
DC Kishtwar also directed the CMO Kishtwar to deploy an ambulance and medical staff with first aid facility during the processions.
The representatives of religious organizations and trusts also submitted the details of the areas where the services of district administration and police are required and also gave valuable suggestions for the smooth celebration of the festival.
