Bharat Vikas Parishad organizes "Bharat Ko Jano" Quiz competition to foster knowledge and patriotism

KATHUA, Sept 3: In a bid to promote knowledge about India's rich culture, religion, history, geography, arts, constitution, and various facets of the nation, the Kathua unit of Bharat Vikas Parishad organized the "Bharat Ko Jano Gyan Pratiyogita," a quiz competition, at Tiny Scholars School in Logate Morh, Kathua.
Approximately 50 students from 12 different schools participated in this quiz competition, which was conducted in two categories: junior (class 6th-8th) and senior (class 9th-12th). Each school was represented by a pair of two students.
The Bharat Quiz program comprised three rounds: the written round, the visual round, and the current affairs round. The evaluation of the written round took place on the spot. Notably, this year marked the introduction of computer technology into the competition, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Tiny Scholars School's computer wing, under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Reena Khajuria and Chairperson Mrs. Manisha Gupta.
In the senior category, Nav Adarsh School, Kathua secured the 1st position, while Tiny Scholars School's Dhawani Priya and Anjal Jasrotia tied for the 2nd position with MSK Hr. Sec. School. R.S. Golden and Minerva claimed the 3rd position. In the junior category, Spring Dales School and R.S. Golden School secured the 1st and 2nd positions, respectively, while Tiny Scholars School's Rasanpreet and Rijul Sharma secured the 3rd position.
The winners received mementos and certificates, while all participants were awarded participation certificates.
The event was hosted by Prerna Khajuria, assisted by student Tapasya Gupta from the host institution. The lamp lighting ceremony was conducted by members of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Chairperson Manisha Gupta, and Principal Reena Khajuria.
Ashok Gupta, President of the organization, highlighted the significance of such competitions in instilling a sense of curiosity among students about their country and nation, helping them build confidence to face future challenges. Professor Dr. Ram Murti Sharma, the chief patron, emphasized the importance of such competitions and shed light on the motives and objectives of the organization.
The vote of thanks was extended by Kuldeep Goswami, Secretary of BVP, KATHUA. Principal Madam Reena Khajuria played a pivotal role in ensuring the competition's success. The event was attended by Ditt Kumar, Khem Raj, Hem Raj, Pawan Sharma, and other members of the organization, teachers from various participating schools, students, staff, and the Principal of the host institution. The program commenced with the recitation of "Vande Mataram" and concluded with the chanting of the National Anthem.
