APS Damana celebrates Teachers' Day with grand tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan

JAMMU, Sept 5: On September 5, 2023, Army Public School Damana paid a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the eminent philosopher and the second President of India, on the occasion of Teachers' Day. The school premises came alive with a celebration that exemplified the profound impact of teachers on students' lives.
The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Brig Vivek Puri, SM, Cdr 19 Inf Bde, and Chairman APS Damana. He was accompanied by Lt Col Shakti Singh, Offg SO School, Mrs. Pushpinder Kaur, Principal APS Damana, Mrs. Shallu Kapoor, Vice-Principal, Ms. Ravinder Kaur, Headmistress Foundational Wing, along with staff and students.
The students of Class XII presented a scintillating Morning Assembly as an expression of their love, respect, acknowledgment, and recognition for the relentless hard work put in by their teachers in nurturing their development. The special assembly featured poems, songs, dances, and musical performances that left the audience spellbound. The students conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the teachers through a mesmerizing orchestral performance.
Brig Vivek Puri, SM, Cdr 19 Inf Bde, and Chairman APS Damana, in recognition of the teachers' dedication and hard work, presented Certificates of Appreciation. He emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in shaping the future of their students and expressed that no recognition is substantial enough to gratify them for their selfless service and unwavering commitment.
Pushpinder Kaur, Principal APS Damana, extended her warmest wishes to all the Faculty Members, acknowledging their unyielding support and dedication in elevating the institution. She advised the newer teachers to embrace change and adapt to evolving teaching techniques. Shallu Kapoor, Vice-Principal, joined in congratulating the staff on this momentous day.
The celebration concluded with the harmonious singing of the National Anthem, symbolizing unity and pride in the noble profession of teaching.
