Budgam, September 5, 2023 - In the wake of a severe natural calamity has struck the Charisharief area of Budgam district, yesterday leaving the fruit cultivators in a state of distress. The recent strong winds have wreaked havoc in the area caused significant damage to pear orchards and posing a severe threat to the livelihoods of fruit cultivators in the area said Er. Nazir Yatoo.
He further added that the affected fruit growers, already grappling with the challenges, are now facing an additional burden due to the extensive damage caused by the high-intensity winds. Orchards are the only source of sustenance for these people.
Er Yatoo appealed LG Manoj Sinha for the Immediate assessment and timely financial assistance to help farmers recover from the losses they have incurred. |
