Shere-Kashmir Sports Club, J&K AIDS Control Society join hands for awareness camp

JAMMU, Sept 5: The Shere-Kashmir Sports Club in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir AIDS Control Society organized an awareness camp today at Kabir Nagar, Tallab Tillo, and Gole Gujral, Jammu. The event saw enthusiastic participation from many individuals, especially youth aged between 18 and 35 years.
The primary theme of the camp was to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, promote voluntary blood donation, and advocate for drug de-addiction. The camp was inaugurated by Shuban Krishan Sharma, a resource person who shared valuable insights on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and control. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the guidelines set forth by the National AIDS Control Organization and Jammu and Kashmir AIDS Control Society.
Sharma also delivered a compelling message to the youth, urging them to abstain from drug abuse, particularly injected drugs. The camp provided a platform for discussing the high-risk groups in the community and addressing their needs.
Other speakers at the camp encouraged the youth to actively participate in voluntary blood donation, highlighting the significance of this noble act.
The event was attended by numerous individuals, including Anoop Singh, Nirmal Singh, Sahil Sharma, Vijay, Rahul, Manik, Jasvinder, Amreek Singh, Aman, Anil, Shubam, Bharat, Aniket, among others.
