GDC Gool organizes seminar on corruption free Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, Sept 5: As part of Brashtachaar Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Campaign NSS unit of GDC Gool in Collaboration with Eco-Club Green Gool organized one day seminar on the topic Corruption Free Jammu and Kashmir under the patronship of Principal Prof. Maj. Dr. Karan Singh. The programme was presided over by Prof. S.A. Ganai (HOD English). In total 05 student-speakers namely Shafiya Shabnum, Khushboo Mirza, Kousar Samreen and Assiya Nissar participated and spoke on the topic in detail. The speakers expressed their views on the root cause of the corruption and measures need to be taken to eradicate this menace. Among faculty members Prof. Ganai deliberated that undoubtedly corruption is the biggest challenge these days.
It is a great threat to the progress of any nation. Although technological advancement has proved as a driving force to push this evil to the corner but still there is long way to go, he added. The learned professor further added that moral corruption is the worst type and morally corrupt societies never progress. It becomes the responsibility of every citizen to get united to save the nation from this social evil. Other faculty members who graced the occasion included Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat (HOD Political Science) Dr. Zafar Hayat (HOD Arabic), Prof. Jatinder Lal (HOD Education) Prof. Gopal Singh (HOD Dogri) and Prof. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof. Mohd Younus Saleem (A/P English).
