Samba Police cracks down on mining mafia: Seizes 9 dumpers in 24 hours

SAMBA, Sept 6: In a concerted effort to combat illegal mining, the Samba Police, under the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh, has intensified its action against the mining mafia. Over the past 24 hours, police teams have seized nine additional dumpers used for illegal mining operations across various locations in the Samba district.
The dumpers, bearing registration numbers JK21G-6256, JK21D-8256, JK21G-7877, JK21G-5049, JK21H-0059, JK21C-7295, JK21H-8191, JK21F-5282, and JK14H-1494, were confiscated as part of the ongoing crackdown against illegal mining activities.
Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh stated that a total of 134 vehicles have been seized by Samba police in the past seven and a half months as part of their special drive to curb illegal mining. He emphasized that the police would continue their efforts to curb the illegal activities of the mining mafia until all illegal mining is completely eradicated in the district.
