| Terrorism- An Unending Chain of Reaction | | |

What Is Terrorism? Who is behind it? Nation wants to know after 26/11/08 which was the biggest terrorist attack of its kind so far.
Terrorisms! The systematic use of violence and intimidation to achieve some goal with ulterior motive by killing innocent human lives creating panic and great fear among the masses,
The word terror derives from terrible, dreadful, and fearful to terrify people by inflicting wound, injuries, causing death or mass violence terrorized by street gangs.
Terrorism is to be classified: State Terrorism, political motivated by neighborhood terrorist groups. Some time police terrorizes the innocents and weaker sections of the society.
So million dollar question is that who is responsible for all this? Is it the result of wrong policies of the Govt. both in centre and State? Is it a total failure of security agencies? Is it a lack of will of the concerned Govt’s? Is it a result of regional, religious, racial and caste bigotry? Or is it a result of vote bank politics? Is it a result of fundamentalist force?
If one traces the history, then all will be surprised to know that the entry of terrorism in our country was the result of political ‘Tug of War’ between congress and Akalis to grab power in way back 1978. When the seed of terrorism was sown and pronounced as ‘Sikh Terrorism’. Soon it engulfed the whole Punjab and across the country and causing unforgettable scars in the form of “Bleu Star operation” on 2nd June,1984 and followed by tragic and unfortunate Killing of then Prime Minister of India, Smt. Indira Gandlhi on 31st Oct 1984 by her own guards respectively. In both the tragic episodes, the action of central Govt. as well as the main opposition parties with all logic and justification could not satisfy the community because in both of incidents especially in case of thousand killings of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other part of the country sponsored by then the ruling Congress party which incited communal hatred and ill will feeling among the masses of this great country against the whole Sikh community by broad casting the news bulletin on Radio under control of the ministry of information and broadcasting, Govt. of India, spreading poisonous message that “TWO SIKH SECURITY GARUDS” had killed the Prime Minister of lndia, and simultaneously, then the Prime Minister of India, Lt. Shri Rajiv Gandhi, himself stated that when “Big Tree” falls then the “ Earth gets shaken”, the message was crystal clear and was carried out by the Congress party in collusion with Govt. machinery to massacre the Sikh community enmass. Thus, dividing the two brothers Hindu and Sikhs, was a historic blunder “KAUN AKHE HINDU AATE SIKH VAKHO-VAKH NE, BHARAT MA DI DOWE SAJJI-KHABI AKH NE”
There was not a single example in a democratic set up world over, where the Govt itself targeted any particular community as a whole with the result the culture of Terrorism in our country developed, supported and aided by neighboring country who wanted to destabilize our country. First, in the form of Khalistan movement, secondly, it travelled to Kashmir in form of ‘Azadi’, supported and aided by cross border terrorism in 1989-90. Which was responsible for the mass exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits and termed as ‘Muslim terrorism’. Now, recently, in the case of ‘Malegaon Bomb blast’ in Mumbai 2008. Some Hindu organizations have been surfaced and exposed’ as ‘Hindu- terrorism’ respectively. It is the shame and blot on face of Nation because terrorists have no religion and have no respect to human life. Is it not a reality that such type of terminology has been conspicuously introduced by the unscrupulous politician and fundamentalist forces working in our country dividing communities on bases of region, religion and caste. However, even the christens across the country were not spared by the sang parivar. The recent episode of Kandhmaal (Orissa) is well known to everybody.
Now see the sequence since 1980, in a calculated way, the Govt. of Haryana checked the movement of Sikhs who were going to Delhi to participate in ‘Asian games in 1982’.
Then world over famous and most sacred and revered Sikhs shrine, Golden temple at Amritsar, was targeted through army operation on the plea to get hold of Santa Bhindrawala, who was the creation of Congress itself, on 2nd June 1984, and then after the death of Smt Indira Gandhi on 31st Oct 1984, thousands of Sikhs were brutally killed, identified leaders of the congress, policemen and killers who were 72 in number those were responsible for the heinous crime and established by the Justice Ranganathan committee were not convicted rather enjoying the fruit of power. When the Govt. of the day was behind to terrorize the particular community without their fault, now the congress party is crying that inside and outside terrorist hostage the country. Will the party leaders explain to the nation, who is responsible for bringing the terrorist culture? Why the nation collectively have not been pressing to the Dr. Manmohan Singh Govt. and demanding justice for the victims of Nov. 1984.
Then some Hindu organizations attacked ‘Babri Masjid’ on 6th Dee, in 1992 under the regime of congress at centre and BJP in State (U.P.)
In retaliations, strong reactions were witnessed in the form of bomb blasts in economic city of Mumbai in 1993, resulting in hundreds of deaths of precious human beings, followed by many attacks on Hindu Shrines in Kashmir Valley and across the country, the Temple of Akshardham (Gujarat), Sheri Raghunath Mandir (Jammu) etc. On the top of this, Godhra, where 70 kar Sevaks were burnt alive in the train, followed by post Godhra in Gujrat, where more than thousand innocent muslims were stated to be killed under the regime of Mr. Narinder Modi (BJP). Again the patron of Nov 1984 was repeated. Look that nobody in our country is accountable for all these brutal happenings. In the result, terrorist activities throughout the country gradually started increasing and targeted metro cities including Pink City, Jaipur, Delhi, Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Surat, Hyderabad, Mumbai, many other cities, etc.
Now recently attack at Mumbai, India’s financial capital and especially targeting luxury hotels and important places of historic repute by the terrorist on 26/11/08 putting Mumbai to complete standstill killing 183 lives and more than 300 injured during 59 hours operation. Which was the biggest terrorist attack in the country so far? If even this does not suffice to open the eyes of our unscrupulous, corrupt and unconcerned politicians, then the security and integrity of this Nation is at stake and only God can help us, rather shook the entire world because about 22 foreigners killed and 23 wounded belonging to different countries and have also become victim of this unprecedented human tragedy in the annals of Indian history and next to 9/11/2001 in USA.
In the light of above mentioned incidents of terror and terrorist activities indicates that not only Pakistan’s ISI and other terrorist groups operating in Kashmir valley and across the country are responsible, also the wrong policies of the Govt. and the overreaction and counter action of fundamentalist forces operating and belonging to all communities are equally responsible.
If we go on blaming each other and hurting the religious sentiments of the communities concerned then some where we are certainly helping those terrorist groups operating within and from outside the country to destabilize our country continuously. Now time has come we all should sit together seriously irrespective to our political affiliation, shun the policy of vote bank and divide and rule, taking the whole nation into confidence to evolve the viable comprehensive policy to deal terrorist activities making security forces and concerned state Govts. accountable and effective on the basis of national priority and pride nothing is above the nation.
Besides that some stringent and effective law should be initiated immediately through legislation to deal those unwanted, unscrupulous, elements, who are bent upon creating internal disturbance by their act of inciting poison of communalism, regionalism and insulting the National flag, National Anthem, National language with iron hands without wasting any time and also ban their organization for the time in largest interest of the nation. Otherwise Govt. should be blamed and not to be escaped from its responsibility of helping those evil elements directly or indirectly with some ulterior motive to achieve some political gain. Stop dual policy of appeasement hence with otherwise keeping this nation united in future is very difficult.
BeJe Bikh(Poison), Mange Amrit(Nector), Dekho eh Niayo(Justice) in gurbani. “JESA BEEJ TESA HI KHAYE”. Whatever we sow, the same kind of crop we will reap.
Healthy criticism and difference of opinion keeping national pride above is very essential in democratic set up but criticism for the sake of criticism to gain some cheap political mileage / popularity on very sensitive issues related to investigation of the Bomb blast activities by the security agencies i.e. ATS, crime branch, CBI for example in case of Malegaon bomb blast, where in some religious people belonging to particular community along with some personnel belonging to military organization were round involved and being investigated by the ATS Maharashtra and was reacted by the top brass of sang parivar including president, Mr Raj Nath Singh and Prime Ministerial candidate in waiting Sh.Lal Krishan Advani and Mr. V.K. Malhotra (Nominated candidate for CM of Delhi) of BJP (National Party) targeting the chief of the A.T.S. Mr. Hemant karkare and his team blaming them biased towards the Hindu victim speaks the mentality and mind set of the party and their insensitivity towards the matter related safety and security of the people of this nation wno has cleared all allegations by sacrificing his life during the operation Mumbai, another example regarding the killings of thousand of Sikhs on 1st ,2nd, 3rd Nov 1984 in which the statement of Mr. Rahul Gandhi came recently condemning the action unfortunate and stated tnat his father, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was wrong at that time and apologized, appeared in media. Community felt satisfied that “DER AYYE DAROOSAT AYE” but just after a couple of days during some election rally in Delhi, community was shocked to witness Mr. Rahul was sharing the stage with culprit who were responsible for the Sikh’s carnage namely Mr. Tytler and sajjan Kumar. See the difference between their KATHNI AND KARNI.
These all incidents indicate categorically that all the parties some or other ulterior motives supporting their bad elements within and issuing statements in their favour.
If our politician really love India then for God’s sake, shun the policy of dividing country on the name of caste, colour, region, religion, language and above all stop leveling terrorism of belonging to this and that community and also observe utmost restraint while targeting our security agencies during their investigation period till its completion.
These all happenings are very unfortunate and make India a soft target for such kind of attacks. So, build India strong at all levels adopting the principle of “Honesty is the best policy”. Otherwise a corrupt country with direction less and self centered leadership those who change their statements day in day out can’t be trusted. Of course, we the people of this country are equally responsible for such situations. There is a popular saying that Govt. we get is as per the quality and kind of people who live in democratic system. Before pointing finger towards others for the “Blame” please think ten times at least because three fingers are pointing towards us. So correct yourself first then blame others.
