DC flags off mobile van to intensify campaign in Rajouri
9/6/2023 9:50:35 PM
Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Sept 6: To intensify Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K campaign and foster transparent and accountable governance, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today flagged off a promotional Van of the District Information Centre.
In alignment with the Union Territory-wide campaign, the initiative seeks to galvanize the community against corruption and heighten awareness of the empowerment opportunities available through the Janbhagidari portal.
The central focus of the campaign is to engage all segments of society, with particular emphasis on the rural population, through the organization of special Gram Sabha meetings across all Panchayats. The mobile van will serve as a conduit for disseminating information about the various online services available within the district, furthering the cause of creating a corruption-free environment in Jammu and Kashmir.
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal has outlined key areas of focus, including vital government departments such as Revenue, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RDD), Public Works Department (PWD), and Power Development Department (PDD).
The campaign prioritizes addressing grievances related to the Revenue Department, including land records, mutations, and demarcations, ensuring swift and effective resolution at the appropriate levels. The mobile van will traverse different locations, emphasizing that these essential services are now just at a click away through portals like e-Unnat, which offers more than 1000 services to the public.
Furthermore, the mobile van will raise awareness among the general public about achieving full household tap connections, resolving electricity-related issues, and facilitating the resolution of land revenue matters. All complaints received during this week will receive overriding priority and prompt resolution.
To facilitate the reporting and resolution of corruption-related grievances, special counters have been set up at the tehsil, block, and district levels.
The "Bhrashtachar Mukht J and K Week" is more than just a campaign; it signifies a collective commitment to building a corruption-free and accountable society. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal and the entire administration of District Rajouri are steadfast in their resolve to empower the people and uphold the principles of transparency and accountability.
