JAMMU, Sept 6: Dewan Devi Playway/ Hr. Sec. School marked Janmashtami with boundless enthusiasm and fervor. The school premises were adorned with a beautifully decorated swing (Jhula) to symbolize Lord Krishna's divine presence. Students, dressed in Radha Krishna attire, enthusiastically participated in a variety of cultural programs that added charm to the celebration. Their vibrant performances showcased the spirit of this auspicious occasion. The event took an exciting turn with a tug of war competition held between the boys and girls of the Hr. Sec. Wing, fostering healthy competition and teamwork among the students. A highlight of the festivities was the "breaking of dahi handi" competition, where students showcased their dexterity and agility in breaking the curd-filled pot, reminiscent of Lord Krishna's playful antics. The Chairman of the school, Subhash Chander Suri, along with the Principal, addressed the students on this auspicious occasion.
