9/6/2023 9:56:22 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 6: Kavinder Gupta, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Deputy Chief Minister, expressed confidence that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are content with the visible good governance provided by the BJP-led government. He believes that their satisfaction will contribute to the BJP's success in the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections, where they will play a crucial role.
Gupta made these remarks during a meeting with the party's Mahila Morcha in preparation for the upcoming ULB polls. He emphasized that the BJP has made significant progress in fulfilling its promises to the people and has introduced numerous social security schemes that benefit various segments of society. Gupta urged the Mahila Morcha members to be proactive in countering false narratives propagated by opposition parties such as Congress, PDP, and NC, which aim to mislead the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The senior BJP leader highlighted the party's commitment to empowering women through a 33% reservation, which has been implemented in the ULB polls. He stressed the pivotal role of women in shaping the nation's future and encouraged women to take advantage of government initiatives aimed at their welfare.
Gupta acknowledged the essential role of BJP Mahila Morcha workers and activists in raising awareness about government schemes, particularly those designed for women. He called on them to inform the public about the BJP government's unprecedented accomplishments during its twin terms.
Sanjita Dogra, President of Mahila Morcha, pledged to field strong candidates in the upcoming polls and assured the party leadership that Morcha members would spare no effort to ensure the BJP's success in the ULB elections.
