Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 6: Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School marked the auspicious occasion of "Krishna Janmashtami" with deep devotion and reverence for Lord Krishna. The school organized a special morning assembly to celebrate this divine event, with students presenting beautiful songs and dance performances dedicated to Lord Krishna.
The school assembly resonated with the melodious renditions of songs like "Radha Kaisey na Jaley," "Yashomati Mayia Se Boley Nandlala," and "Shri Krishan Gobind Harey Murari," creating a profound sense of devotion among all attendees.
The tiny tots from the primary wing, adorned in Krishna's attire complete with crowns and halos, delivered a mesmerizing dance performance that enthralled everyone present.
School Principal, Mrs. Annapurna Koul, addressed the students during the celebration. She motivated them to read the Bhagavad Gita and to follow the path of life as shown by Lord Krishna. She emphasized that adhering to these teachings would lead to a pure and pious life and ultimately help in attaining salvation.
In the afternoon, a shlokas (verses) competition was organized during the 7th and 8th periods. Students from classes 6th, 7th, and 8th participated enthusiastically, eloquently reciting verses from the Bhagavad Gita, further deepening their connection with Lord Krishna's teachings.
The celebration of Krishna Janmashtami at Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School was a beautiful amalgamation of devotional fervor, cultural expressions, and spiritual enrichment, demonstrating the school's commitment to nurturing both academic and spiritual growth among its students.
