9/8/2023 11:07:07 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Sept 8: In a remarkable display of unity and commitment to combat corruption, the Department of Political Science, in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education, organized an Anti-Corruption Rally under the esteemed guidance of the college’s Principal, Dr. Meeru Abrol.
This proactive initiative, held under the banner of “Brashtrachar Mukt Jammu and Kashmir,” signifies a resolute step towards promoting transparency, integrity, ethics, and accountability. Corruption remains an enduring global challenge that undermines economic development, erodes trust in institutions, and disproportionately affects vulnerable populations. Recognizing the urgency of addressing this issue, the college organized the rally to underscore the significance of collective action in the fight against corruption.
During the rally, participants raised spirited slogans such as “Brashtrachar Ko Jhar Se Mitana Hain Hume Yeah Abhiyan Chalana Hain” (We must eradicate corruption from its roots), “Needer Bano Brashtrachar Ko Duur Kro” (Be the change to eliminate corruption), and “Brashtrachar Ki Zanzeer Thoro” (Break the chains of corruption). They also pledged their commitment to ethical conduct, accountability, and anti-corruption measures.
Approximately 150 students actively participated in this rally, along with dedicated staff members. Through this rally, they expressed their unwavering dedication to upholding the highest standards of integrity in their respective roles.
Principal Prof. Meeru Abrol, addressing the gathering, emphasized the gravity of corruption as a serious threat to society, hindering progress and exacerbating inequality.
She stated, “Today, we reaffirm our commitment to eradicate corruption at all levels.” The rally serves as a testament to the college’s dedication to fostering a culture of transparency and accountability while nurturing responsible citizens who will contribute positively to society.
