| Educational tour flagged off | | | Early Times report
Jammu, Feb 1-Rashtriya Rifles, under the aegis of Romeo Force, today flagged off 11-
day long educational tour for the school children to Dehradun, Delhi and Agra. The aim
of the tour is to expose young children, from the far flung and under developed areas of
Surankote of Poonch district, to the development taking place in the country and acquaint
them with the varied and rich cultural heritage of our country. Besides 34 students, two
teachers are part of the team.
Sector Commander, Rashtriya Rifles, flagged off the tour, today amidst a large gathering comprising children, parents, civil administration officials, teachers and school staff, at Surankote. The children were extremely enthusiastic and excited about the forthcoming tour.
The Commander interacted with the children and asked them to extract the best from this opportunity. In his address, he motivated the children to work hard and contribute positively towards nation building by becoming responsible citizens. He also urged them to share their experiences with their fellow classmates and family members on their return.
